Steve Ratterman

Founding Partner

Steve founded CSL Management after serving four years as the President and Chief Operating Officer of Fifth Point Properties, a wholly owned subsidiary of his fraternity Sigma Nu.  He played a key role in developing the property management services offered to the fraternity’s chapters throughout the United States.  Steve has over fifteen years experience in property management, twelve of which have been exclusively focused on fraternity and sorority housing, that has included portfolios with more than 2,000 units and values in excess of $25 Million.  He has extensive experience in risk management, insurance placement, and real estate acquisitions.

As Chief Executive Officer for CSL Management, Steve is responsible for the strategic development of the company, client acquisition, and consults in the areas of real estate acquisition, project management, and operational excellence.  In regards to his Greek affiliation, Steve has served as an undergraduate leader, alumni volunteer, and national board member for Sigma Nu.  He is also an active participant in lobbying for CHIA (The Collegiate Housing and Infrastructure Act) and serves on the underwriting committee for FRMT, Ltd., a reinsurance company focused exclusively on fraternity liability insurance.

Steve is committed to every aspect of fraternity and sorority housing and a constant promoter of the unique educational and personal development opportunities it has to offer.  Throughout his professional career he has strived to give back to his community and serve others by volunteering and serving on boards for organizations such as Boys Scouts of America, YMCA, and Keep America Beautiful.  Steve holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Indiana University, Kelley School of Business, where he was a recipient of Sigma Nu’s Herman B. Wells Leadership Award.

Steve and his wife Lucy have three grown children – two daughters, one son – and five grandchildren.
